Global Market Business Intelligence is part of Franchise Data Engineering team is a global team of 30+ people focused on building data solutions to help the firm develop efficient workflows, improve client service and minimize risk in the post-trade flow processing. We support both Cash & OTC products across Equities & FICC businesses.


Job Title: BI Tools Product Manager


Own and manage BI Tools like Alteryx and RapidMiner and their underlying platform within GS
Manage the product and version releases through GS AppStore; Procure, setup/install BI Application, configure, manage changes and performance of the server infrastructure
Setup workflows and governance processes for management of BI Tools platform
Setup automated SDLC process for tools through integration with Firm SDLC platforms
Develop ETL processes used for analytics and monitoring of the Firm’s low-code ETL ecosystem
Grow footprint of tools across the Firm and develop training and certifications for each tool
Drive adoption of new tools and partner with stakeholders to address feedback, concerns, requests


Knowledge of Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) market for process automation and strong experience in low-code ETL tools such as Alteryx and RapidMiner
Experience with analytics and data visualization capabilities (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI etc.)
Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc.) To be able to formulate correct queries for the firm’s databases and build refiners if required
Experience with using multi-dimensional data modeling/data warehousing for data analytics and reporting
Development skills with one or more OOP Languages (Java, Python) Object-Oriented Programming is a pragmatic approach to programming which indicates understanding of fundamental computing concepts
Knowledge of SDLC and Product Management concepts
Exposure to various version control systems such as GIT, CVS etc.
Analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills able to project manage on technical and functional delivery
Experience with Agile/SCRUM project methodology for enterprise-level projects

As product manager – our clients are both users and leads who manage BI organization within each division. Understand the needs of the clients and identify the right solution that will help them manage and deliver innovative BI solutions for the firm.
Understand the foundations of great client experience, while leveraging available internal tools to provide the best service possible
Establish, cultivate and leverage relationships to identify and execute on process enhancements


Demonstrate interpersonal skills and an ability to develop relationships with stakeholders
Articulate issues clearly and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Understand complex situations and communicate with senior leadership ‘in the moment,’ offering opinions and solutions
Listen well and be receptive to others’ ideas and suggestions, encouraging open and collaborative dialogue among team members

Risk Management

Pay strong attention to detail and develop awareness of different types of risk and accountability
Articulate operational and risk impacts related to a specific task or procedure
Apply root cause analysis to troubleshoot user or platform issues and identify opportunities for process improvements or work prioritization

Management, Leadership and Culture

Have an entrepreneur mentality in managing the products for the firm. Have proactive conversations with senior stakeholders on other internal/vendor tools for integration opportunities. Identify the right configuration for users to maximize the potential of the product/platform.
Share Ideas on how the Target Operating Model can be efficiently implemented and executed upon for governance processes and platforms that we manage
Maintain awareness of and act in accordance with team goals and firm policies
Work very closely with all the team members across the globe and deliver solutions incorporating team feedback and suggestions.
Play an active role in GS citizenship activities
Respond to and action ongoing feedback on a timely basis


Clearly articulate business issues and propose practical solutions
Contribute to the execution of team deliverables and organization’s strategy
Proven track record of taking initiative and implementing innovative solutions
Develop good working knowledge of available technology capabilities and how and where to deploy them
Understanding of Business Process Re-Engineering and how to apply to current workflows and procedures
