Key ResponsibilitiesOwn quality of full-stack worldwide across all Hotstar products, geographies, features, and technology initiatives.
Align, create & own Quality Engineering OKRs in line with larger Organisational KRs.Test Engineering point of contact for senior leadership stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Create high-level test engineering team goals and action plans to align with overall Product Development objectives.
Emulate strong management and leadership principles with the capacity to engage, motivate mentor, and coach test engineers distributed across various geographical locations.
Communicate to a wide range of audiences regarding goals, planning process, project initiatives, team innovation, and results.
Work closely with the senior test engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for test automation, infrastructure, and frameworks.
Implement, gather and report team/project metrics to track business value-board high caliber test engineers while keeping the hiring bar high at all times.
Be the custodian and enabler of strong organizational culture and ethicsAccountable for the quality of test activities during the release of products to production. Act decisively and remove impediments for the test team partner with Development Teams, Infra teams, Release Engineering, Engineering Productivity to complete overall test engineering initiatives and resolve impediments.
What to BringBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 10+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable, complex, and efficient test engineering infrastructure and automation tools.
Proficient with either Java or GoLangAt least 5 years managing software engineering teams including hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience deep practical experience solving reliability, performance, and scalability issues in large tech stacks with hundreds of microservices in a multi-geo, multi-tenant architecture.
Exposure in building RESTful APIs with monitoring(New Relic, stated, graphite), fault tolerance and metrics experience with MySQL, NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB)Experience in server-side services using ElasticSearch, Kafka Experience with AWS stack.
Expertise in CI/CD processes.
Excellent knowledge of risk management, risk identification, and risk-based testing.A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects and bringing in and growing engineering talent. Excellent wrote and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
