The International Markets team contributes to key global eCommerce sites including ASDA & George (in the UK), Walmart Canada and Walmart Mexico. We work on technologies that intersect a wide variety of business models for grocery, general merchandise and the warehouse format. Our focus is to build a continuous, seamless, omni-channel customer experience across physical stores, eCommerce and mobile commerce, that is unique to Walmart and sets us apart from our competition.
eCommerce is a top priority and growth area for Walmart, all set to further accelerate with creating and defining new vertical and omnichannel experiences. You can be a part of this high-growth, massive-scale, fast-paced environment, building continuous, seamless, omni-channel customer experiences across physical stores, eCommerce and mobile commerce, unique to Walmart. As a key part of a newly setup and rapidly growing fulfillment product management team, you will work on some of the most challenging customer problems, manage a wide variety of Walmart brands including grocery, general merchandise, pharmacy as well as core ecommerce while mentoring budding product managers.
Â· Conduct industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging shopping behaviour trends in ecommerce or online grocery industry to identify new opportunities. Conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify needs to inform product roadmap.
Â· Manage a high performing team of product managers and analysts to plan and deliver the roadmap to meet business objectives.
Â· Drive product requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs and other launch efforts
Â· Work with data science, engineering, design and Walmart partners to define the data requirements, measurement methodologies, APIs, UX etc.
Â· Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make prioritization trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences
Â· Manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way and willing to do what it takes to make our product successful.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a customer-centric, sensitive to design, fluent in analytics, energetic, self- motivated individual focused on solving customer problems. He/she has a strong sense of product ownership and commitment to grow and build PM talent, coupled with a strong passion for technology and innovation. She/he is an excellent communicator and builds strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally. He/she is results-oriented and demonstrates a strong bias for action. Plus, with teams based in Bengaluru, Sunnyvale, Arkansas and Leeds UK, exceptional communications is a must.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field. MBA a huge plus
10+ years in product management and supply chain management.
Managing a high performance product team.
Experience in ecommerce or retail is highly desired.
Experience in high volume transactional systems is also highly desired.
Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.
Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.
