As part of the Microsoft Digital Platform Engineering team, as a Principal PM Manager Lead, you will be personally involved in leading the designing, configuring the business requirements & features that enable our mission critical business partners. You will work closely with peers across teams (inside Microsoft Digital and across the company) to help build flexible and high-performing SAP Solutions that enable next generation of business services. This is a data-driven and fast paced environment where ideas can be taken from conception to scale. It is a great opportunity to work on something highly strategic to Microsoft! The Microsoft Digital Platform Engineering team is at the center of all capabilities being developed to solve internal problems of Microsoft leveraging SAP on Azure including extending these capabilities to external customers for similar problems that they are looking to solve. This team therefore needs direction and end to end thinking of building capabilities. The MDPE Principal PM Manager for Enterprise Services is going to be responsible for the following:
Lead a great team of Program Managers, creating an inclusive environment and engaging team members to deliver high impact results
Formulating a vision, value proposition and roadmap for improvements and enhancements to SAP Enterprise Services Platform.
Guiding design and direction of the SAP Enterprise Services Platform components, helping design for scalability and global reach.
Driving customer-focused engineering by planning and designing improvements based upon business and customer feedback.
Define, drive, prioritize, and specify functional scenarios for management platform features.
Provide thought leadership to the development team building key functionality, working with customers to get feedback, and iterating to improve outcomes.
Manage multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and executing deliverables.
Partner across the business and engineering teams to develop capabilities that drive success for the broader SAP on Azure capabilities
Market/Customer understanding: Develop critical and clear understanding of the requirements of the Market, of the requirements of customers, distill that and use it to develop the roadmap, and lead the team.
People Management: Lead a small team of program/product managers who will form part of this team. Develop the capabilities of the team, and delegate responsibilities as appropriate. Enable the Individual Contributors to be successful by Modelling, Coaching and Caring them.
Meeting Business Goals: Meet agreed upon business goals (customer adoption), in conjunction with the engineering teams.
Own and evangelize feature roadmaps to land a reference implementation of SAP Enterprise Services across multiple business processes.
End-to-end ownership of scope/priorities, schedule, budget, risks and issue management
Demonstrate customer obsession and demonstrate the use of data to identify the top pain points and opportunities for driving impact.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather MDPE Enterprise Services requirements to develop solutions. Must have a strong focus on the end-to-end customer experience.
Be data-driven and keep customer as the most important dimension while planning new capabilities.
Leverage Microsoft, SAP technologies to build world class, innovative solutions.
Work with partner teams for capacity planning, defining service requirements, and designing end-to-end capabilities and features.
Create solutions with GTM in mind which caters to Microsoft requirements and is also useful for other customers.
15+ years combined experience: Program Management, Product Management, Operations Research, Software Development, technical/engineering role(s).
10+ years of experience in SAP systems Planning, design, development, testing and implementation experience on large scale projects for enterprise businesses.
Business and functional knowledge in SAP SD/MM (Sales and Distribution, Materials management) etc.
Proven success and experience in collaborating across engineering, business, and operational teams, up to and including working with Partner/GM level stakeholders.
5+ years demonstrated proficiency in executive level presentations and communications
Proven experience to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.
Ability to accommodate up to 10% travel
Good understanding of enterprise grade applications in terms of resilience, scale
Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Proven track record in the development and delivery of effective technical strategies and multi-year roadmaps
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills along with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
Demonstrable passion for continuous applied learning & development
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity without stalling progress
Inherently curious, energized by large challenges, and interested in making a significant impact on a globally scaled business
Metrics and data focused and Passion for solving Customer Problems
Ability to build trusted partnerships and manage stakeholder expectations.
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field required; MBA is highly desired.
Preferred Requirements (Nice to have)
Professional Training and Certification: PMP, SAP.
Experience in working on large scale global enterprise implementations with hands on experience in customization/configuration of SAP solutions.
