About the Role
Our Driver Partners are one of the key pillars of our business. From delivering food orders to transporting people and goods from one place to another, there is very little that they can’t do. As our Product Manager for the Driver Platform & Communications team, you’ll take the wheel in solving driver partner problems, defining product visions, and building these products to scale. You’ll be the gatekeeper of core components in the Gojek Driver app, such as the home screen, communication ecosystem, profile screens, and driver identity/login. Working closely alongside talented designers, researchers, engineers, and data scientists, you’ll craft beautifully simple solutions for our consumers and internal teams to enjoy. Your efforts will provide a reliable and high performing foundation that serves our driver-partners, ensuring they are given a frictionless and delightful experience.

What You Will Do

Collaborate across regions, product areas, and functions to define, lead, and execute a holistic strategy to work towards business goals
Own OKRs and drive the roadmap for the Driver Communications & Platform team, ensuring alignment with other internal teams & product groups
Define precise and well-scoped requirements documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences
Leverage user research, usability studies, market research, experiments, and data analysis and translate them into requirements that solve real problems for a large set of users; partner with design/research team to facilitate problem-solving/co-design sessions
Structure and lead strategic conversations/meetings with cross-functional stakeholders
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across business and marketing teams to formulate problem statements, develop launch strategy, and create product messaging and training

What You Will Need

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or an equivalent degree), preferably in engineering or management
At least 3 years of experience working as a product manager delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products, exhibiting stellar design taste and product instincts
An analytical, data-driven, quantitative mindset; a love for digging into data to understand what’s happening and to define & measure success on every project, with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features
Ability to break down complex problems and identify use cases and solutions that can be reused across multiple areas
A nuanced understanding of data, design & research, software engineering, and business processes and the ability to partner effectively with those teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to weave strategy, insights, priorities, and plan forward into a structured and organized storyline at all levels of management
Sharp attention to detail and the ability to insist on high standards while managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate with agile product development teams and an excitement about identifying new ways to help your team be more effective

About the TeamThe Driver Platform team is an integral part of the entire Gojek ecosystem. We’re responsible for building apps used by millions of driver-partners every day. Our apps are operational across multiple countries in the Southeast Asian region, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, and are growing rapidly. Our team consists of android, back-end, front-end, QA and data engineers based predominantly in India. Often working alongside the Product and Design teams, we work to meet the technological needs of our driver-partners via the systems and tools we build. Besides shipping a world-class transport app, we also work as a “platform team,” delivering features ourselves and enabling other teams in Gojek to contribute to our codebase. This gives us a unique chance to build excellent engineering processes and practices to support many developers working on the codebase. Our particular sub-pod, the Driver Platform & Communications stream, focuses on two aspects – providing a frictionless experience and sending insightful communications to our driver-partners. We collaborate closely with the Design, Research, Business and Engineering teams to enhance our GoPartner App’s user experience and its communication channels to boost user satisfaction and channel-effectiveness metrics. Last year, our team consolidated our services into a single GoPartner app instead of maintaining several apps for various features. Additionally, we optimized app performance by reducing battery drain and memory consumption – a critical undertaking as many partners use lower-end devices that may not be able to sustain a high-powered app. This coming year, we look forward to achieving the next leap in user experience through personalized communications, decluttered UX, and a more technologically-resilient app. We are a big team of home bakers, Netflix watchers, and K-pop fans who enjoy using technology to ease the lives of the people in our community.
