The Azure Media Platform and Services team creates foundational audio and video technology that is used across the company to build engaging media experiences. If you’ve made a Teams or a Zoom call on your PC, listened to music, watched streaming video, or experienced the immersive quality of Spatial Audio in an Xbox game, you’ve seen our work. Our customers around the world rely on Azure Media Services to deliver custom streaming video applications. We are looking for a Program Manager to help us build the next generation of amazing media experiences for Microsoft.
You’ll be joining a team that has a supportive and collaborative team culture, where building strong partnerships is essential. We work closely with many internal partner teams across Microsoft, as well as external partner companies with well-known products and services that you use every day.
As a Program Manager on media platform and services, you’ll work with the team to design new media features and experiences and bring them to life. Quickly ramp up on a media feature in the areas of audio, video, media streaming, or media services
Meet with customers and partners to understand their requirements for improvements and new features
Collaborate with the team to design new and improved features based on customer requirements
Manage the development and delivery of new feature work and measure the success with customers
Manage coengineering projects with industry partners
Research media technology and competitive products and services
Propose innovative new features that will delight our customers
Write samples and blog posts that demonstrate how to use media technology and services
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Relevant industry experience in Program Management (4-6 years), or equivalent
BS/BTech degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent experience; or non-traditional education combined with the requisite years of relative experience
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-group collaboration skills, with the ability to tailor your message to different audiences
Great design and problem-solving skills, with a bias for customer obsession, data-driven quality, and engineering excellence
The ability to see the bigger picture and focus on end-to-end scenarios
Ability and passion to lead cultural initiatives, having positive impact on team morale, and fostering an environment of inclusion
Excellent business and technical judgment, demonstrating executive maturity and intellectual curiosity, helping the team pursue the best ideas
Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments
Experience with video, audio, streaming, or related field is a plus
