The Prime Video X-Ray team mission is to build enriching and immersive experiences that provide customers new ways to interact with the Prime Video content. Today, Millions of viewers rely on us to enrich their live game experience with real time stats, information and watch movies with scene and actors information and shop. The Prime Video X-Ray Clients team is a new team who’s mission to build bar raising immersive client experiences for live games and next generation video on demand across web and living room platforms.
As a Prime Video X-Ray software manager, you will be building and leading a team from scratch delivering Prime Video X-Ray client experiences for the Web and Living Room platforms. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and operations of critical services that power the X-Ray features on Prime Video platform. You will have an established track record in launching highly available customer-facing services and experiences. You will possess strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, solid communication skills, an ability and desire to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and a passion for bringing a world class entertainment experience to Amazon customers.
You will be part of the leadership group looking to brainstorm, design and launch green field features and client experiences across platforms and geographies. In this role, you will be engineering the next generation of applications that will deliver live sports, movies, series, seasons, and episodes to millions of customers across our ecosystem of client devices.
Â· Hire, manage, mentor and grow a high performance team of Software Engineers
Â· Provide technical expertise and leadership throughout product life cycles, influence software engineers best practices for your team and own operational metrics
Â· Work with business leaders and product managers to define product requirements.
Â· Influence and adopt industry standards for building client experiences
Â· Prioritize, communicate, maintain, and execute road maps, project plans, and commitments
Â· Work with engineers to define technical requirements and architect and execute best-in-class implementations in agile manner
Â· Build and maintain world-class customer experience and operational excellence for your deliverable
Â· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
Â· 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
Â· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
Â· Deep passion for bringing customer delight by building UI experiences for Prime Video
Â· Experience in development of production grade front end experiences across platforms (Web, Living Room, Mobile)
Â· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Â· Excellent written and verbal communication to drive clarity and bring consensus and collaborating across domains and time zones.
Â· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Â· Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions
Â· Proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon?s business and relevant technologies, and use this knowledge to deliver high quality, accurate software deliverables
Â· A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time.
