Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
Experience in software program management and/or engineering management.
Experience with distributed systems.
Experience in infrastructure, identity and access, and/or security. Familiarity with large distributed systems (i.e. Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with a recent successful delivery, launch, scale-up and evolution of an infrastructure SW program.
Ability to create structure and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Ability to be self-motivated, with excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Demonstrated technical judgment in making prioritization decisions and trade-offs.
Work with stakeholders to clearly define goals, plan and estimate the work and resources needed to deliver complex technology programs on distributed systems, storage solutions or applications at Google scale.
Monitor and identify obstacles and constraints in meeting program goals, leveraging domain knowledge and technical judgment to analyze trade-offs and escalate risks to the right stakeholders along with data and recommendations.
Maintain alignment across teams and organizations, ensuring dependencies converge, that the program is well supported across teams, and priorities are consistent.
Build transparency by reporting on the state and health of programs to stakeholders, including communicating and managing change.
Organize how people work by co-opting best practices and standard workflows into the organization or designing new workflows if none exist, optimizing processes to be both scalable and adaptable.

You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
