Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

12 years of experience in technical program management and 5 years of people management experience.

10 years of Project/Program Management experience.

Experience with the software development life cycle, QA testing.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working across engineering and operations environments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.

Manage a portfolio of projects within the Live Results team. Responsible for project planning, managing schedules, task breakdowns, and tracking.

Use leadership and technical judgment to drive project delivery, working closely with engineering and product management.

Build solid relationships with infrastructure and other feature development teams across the organization.

Navigate multiple, interdependent work streams, technical concepts, and conversations across different areas and stakeholders to drive collaboration and consensus.

Lead the integration with external partners, gathering internal requirements, closely communicating with partners and using negotiation skills to influence partners to deliver our requirements.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Live-Results team in Search is responsible for developing unique knowledge and building amazing experiences in Google’s key knowledge verticals including Sports, Language, Jobs, Health, and more. Products we develop are used by users across the globe and fuel some of Google’s most advanced information products, including Google’s search, Assistant and Discover (the feed). If you are passionate about software development, love to lead complex programs and solve complex problems and love to be in the center of development. You’ll lead launches of products that are used by users on a daily basis and love to be part of the core in a busy organization.
